Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren, California District 18 representative, spoke with BenitoLink Executive Director Leslie David and content manager Noe Magaña to discuss the status of Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital, immigration, artificial intelligence and fusion power.
In this first part, she discussed her efforts to help the hospital, which has been dealing with a fiscal emergency since November 2022 and is in risk of closing. Lofgren also discussed the options available to the hospital as well as COVID-19 funding it received.
