Downtown Association announces Lights On winners

Tree decoration, parade entry winners honored for creativity.

The Hollister Downtown Association has announced the winners of the Decorate A Tree and parade contests from the recent Lights On Celebration.

Entries for the parade were are judged on creativity, lighting and use of theme and overall best of parade. This year's theme was "The Magic of Christmas." Decorate A Tree Winners: Girl Scout Troop 20024 (First Place), Pacheco 4-H Club (Second Place), Hollister Blue Star Moms (Third Place) and Honorable Mentions to: Ausaymus 4-H Club, Women's Club of Hollister and Girl Scout Troop 20022.

Parade Winners: Hollister Dual Language Academy (Best of Parade), Yamamoto Hula Ohana (Best Use of Lighting), Hollister FFA (Best Use of Theme), Hollister Elementary Band and Choir (Best Dance/Drill/Band/Precision), Magical Christmas Ponies (Best Community Group).
