People are increasingly reliant on mobile devices as a lifeline for emergency information and connecting with loved ones after a disaster. The Red Cross is an established leader in teaching people the skills needed to survive life’s emergencies and now it is working diligently to become the leader in putting help in everyone’s hand.

during emergencies. We want people to be ready to respond to emergencies and spread emergency information on their social networks, anywhere, anytime – even if they don’t have formal training.
While apps can help you get prepared, it’s important to remember that they are not a substitute for training. To learn more about Red Cross courses or to register for a class, go to www.redcross.org/takeaclass or call1-800-445-8210.
