“Garth Guy” performs Saturday night in Hollister

Rodeo queen will be introduced at Guerra Vineyard concert in Hollister

The “Garth Guy” performs Saturday, June 17 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Hollister Concerts' venue at the Guerra Vineyard in Hollister at 500 John Smith Road. The San Benito County Rodeo Queen contestants will be introduced at the event and winner Corissa King will be announced to the concert audience.

Dean Simmons will perform as a Garth Brooks tribute artist, which he has done since 1994. According to his website,  Simmons was discovered and hired to perform in the world famous “Legends in Concert” in Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach, and Atlantic City.

Simmons has been performing for 23 years, “giving audiences across the country a live Garth Brooks experience that is performed with respect and amazing accuracy,” according to the site.

 

Leslie David

Leslie David is a Bay Area independent reporter/producer and is a BenitoLink founding board member. She has produced for radio, television, newspaper and magazines in both California and Wyoming. She was with KRON-TV News in San Francisco as camera-woman, editor and field producer, where she won the Commonwealth Club's Thomas Storke Award with Linda Yee for their series on the Aids Epidemic. She started as a small market news reporter shooting her own 16mm film at KEYT-TV Santa Barbara. Leslie lives on a ranch with her family in San Benito County.
