State Senator Anthony Cannella (R-Ceres) surprised his district 2016 Woman of the Year at the Saddle Horse Show Parade in downtown Hollister on June 23, publicly recognizing Juli Vieira’s contributions to the community by presenting the resolution to her at the announcer’s stand.
“Juli is a shining light, not only through her work at the Chamber, but all the community support and awareness she creates” said Cannella. “It was a great parade and perfect venue to recognize Juli for all her efforts.”
Vieira is a lifelong resident of San Benito County, who spent almost 20 years in the banking industry before transitioning to become the president and CEO of the San Benito Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center in 2014.
According to a statement from Cannella, Vieira “has led the Chamber in many successful business community and civic projects and events, including the San Benito County Fair as well as the Chamber booth that she was tasked with just two days after starting in her position. Juli has also contributed to her community by serving on several nonprofit boards over the years including United Way of San Benito County, and the Hazel Hawkins Hospital Foundation Board, the Hazel Hawkins Hospital Auxiliary and volunteering in several areas of the hospital.”
