Sandy Rose

A memorial service will be held for well-known community servant Sandy Rose on Friday, May 19 at 11:00 a.m. at the outdoor patio fo the Bolado Park Event Center,  9000 Airline Hwy in Tres Pinos. A reception will follow.

As a successful insurance business owner, Rose was a mentor to many San Benito women interested in join the business world. She was known to be direct, have an outstanding work ethic and always willing to lend a helping hand. She played a large role in the early development of BenitoLink, San Benito County’s online news website.

Rose was very involved in the community. She was a member of the Hollister Rotary Club and the San Benito County Cattlewomen and served on the San Benito Grand Jury and waspPresident of the San Benito County Business Council as well as a member of the San Benito County Chamber of Commerce.

She enjoyed attending the livestock auction at the county fair, purchasing livestock from children of her clientele. One of Rose’s favorite organizations was the Community Foundation of San Benito County, which she joined at the request of Gary Byrne. She served on the Foundation’s board of directors from 2004 to 2015 and she was board chair for 2013 and 2014.
