Rabobank moves “uptown” near Starbucks

Bank is set to open June 29 next to the Starbucks' drive-thru location, with easier access for customers

Rabobank clients will soon have more convenient access to their Hollister branch.

According to Division Manager Harry Wardwell, the current location on Tres Pinos Road will relocate to the Target shopping center on Airline Highway — in the same building as the new Starbucks drive-thru — with a grand opening planned for June 29.

“We’ve been in the (Tres Pinos Rd.) location for about 14 years and we’ve had tremendous success,” Wardwell said, “but we’ve outgrown the location. That particular center where Target is has better parking, more visibility and all around it just seemed like the right time (to move).”

Wardwell said the new location will benefit clients in multiple ways, including easier access.

“Most of our current customer base already spends time in that shopping center—it’s much more utilized—so they’ll be able to do their banking along with their shopping. It’s also closer to the main thoroughfare, which goes from one end of Hollister to the other.”

The plan is to close on June 26, move over that weekend and open the new location on Monday, June 29, according to Wardwell.

Phil Fortino, who is originally from Hollister, will handle the move as Branch Manager and Wardwell said all of the current staff will remain.

“The entire staff that (Fortino) manages will move over to the new location,” he said. “So all of our friendly staff will still be there to serve our clients.”
