For the second year in a row, the San Benito County Arts Council will be participating in #GivingTuesday to bring accessible arts programming to students throughout San Benito County.

#GivingTuesday, happening this year on Tuesday, Nov. 27, is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. #GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday to kick off the holiday giving season and to inspire people to collaborate in improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.

In honor of #GivingTuesday, the San Benito County Arts Council is relaunching its fundraising campaign, The Art of Giving, to support art classes and programs for over 8,000 local students. All donations made during this event will fund Arts in Education programs and initiatives throughout San Benito County, including the After School Mariachi Program, Life Skills Art Program, Artists in the Schools Program and Dreams Project for at-risk and incarcerated youth.
