The LULAC Health Fair is about communities living in a healthy way. It will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17 at the Hollister Community Center at 300 West St. in Hollister. 

The Health Fair is being provided free of charge, to educate and increase awareness of health issues within the community.

It is put on by LULAC and many San Benito County professionals who will provide information and resources to community members who otherwise may not have access to them. 

The Health Fair is a chance to let locals know about the services available to them in San Benito County. Agencies, medical professionals and volunteers work together to develop local ambassadors with the goal of positively impacting the needs of local residents.

There will be medical and health care professionals speaking throughout the day on a variety of current topics.  

Services Offered:

  • Free dental and vision check-up
  • Blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol screening
  • Nutrition guidance — what to eat and how to cook it
  • Learn your local police laws
  • Learn how to prepare for local and national emergencies  
  • Voter registration
  • Pharmacy: education on drug interactions
  • Availability of health and human services in the county
