The Superior Court of California, County of San Benito, is pleased to inform the community of San Benito County that the members of the 2026-2027 San Benito County Civil Grand Jury were official selected and sworn in on Friday, June 30th. At the same time, the outgoing jury was recognized for the valuable work it performed as well as congratulated for publication of its final report which is now posted to the Court’s website at www.sanbenito.courts.ca.gov.

The Civil Grand Jury serves as an independent body of county residents authorized to investigate and report on operations of city and county government, special districts, and other local public agencies. Its work plays a vital role in promoting transparency, strengthening government accountability, and responding to citizen concerns about public administration.

Presiding Judge J. Omar Rodriguez and Court Executive Officer Tim Newman expressed their appreciation to both incoming and outgoing jurors for their willingness to serve and emphasized the essential public-service function the Civil Grand Jury fulfills each year. The newly impaneled members will serve a one-year term ending June 30, 2027.

How Residents May Submit Complaints to the Civil Grand Jury Residents may access instructions and complaint forms on the Court’s public website. Complaints forms are available in both English and Spanish and should be mailed to the San Benito County
Civil Grand Jury, P.O. Box 1624, Hollister, CA 95024. Complaints should clearly describe the concern and identify the agency or individuals involved. Please visit the Court’s website for more information about this process.
