Hollister City Council considers single-use plastic ban

California was the first state to ban single-use plastic grocery bags in 2016, and levied a 10-center-per-bag fee. Now, Monica Abonce, a student intern, is proposing that Hollister enact its own ordinance to ban the same products and also add on fees.
